Christopher Reader has seventeen years of culinary experience in various cuisines. He was raised in the south and received his culinary passion from his two grandmothers at an early age. Whether fileting catfish or preparing etouffe, Christopher loved the kitchen.

After working with everything from star anise to zabaglione, in a number of restaurants from Dallas to Seattle, he found himself opening a new restaurant in Washington D.C. It is here that he met Jessica Oliver, a member of the service industry as well. After nine days, he proposed and she accepted. He relocated to Spokane to be with Jessica and Christopher his four year old step son. He found employment in Spokane’s premiere restaurant and looked forward to filling some of the cities culinary (as well as cultural) holes.

With new direction, he began to cater private events and gatherings; specializing in multi-course gourmet dinning and personalized cooking classes. With Jessica’s motivation and drive complimenting Christopher’s experience and passion, they formed Culinaria. Believing that all things culinary are related and boundless possibilities lie ahead they strive to be the driving force for culinary change in the Inland Northwest.
